On Tuesday, the Village Vikings Cross Country team traveled to Spring Creek Park in Tomball to compete in the TAPPS 6A District 3 Cross Country meet. The boys team went into the meet as the favorite, and on a perfect day for running, dominated the field scoring 28 points. District rival St. Thomas finished 2nd with 48 points. This was Village's first Cross Country District title.

Alex A-E once again led from start to finish, covering the 5000 meter course in 16:22. Other Viking scorers and medalists included Senior Ben A in 3rd, Kaushal P in 4th, Eduardo G in 6th and Marco S in 14th.
The Vikings Girls squad, improving every week, finished a solid 4th, with the top 4 girls smashing their personal best times for 3200 meters. Doris M was the lone Viking medalist finishing 10th overall.
The Vikings JV boys squad finished a strong 2nd to winner St Thomas. Led by 3rd place finisher sophomore Reuben W and 4th place finisher Evan B, the Vikings team set 5 personal bests. Sophomore Lucas I also medaled, finishing 13th.
The Varsity teams are off too Waco on Oct 30th for the TAPPS State Championships. The boys are currently ranked 3rd in state and will give the top 2 teams a run for the money.
