Every year, we run an early season 1600m time trial for 3 purposes. First, we set everyone's approximate training paces from the result. Second, it gives everyone an idea how fit they are. Third, it sets out who gets to run Varsity in the first race. Towards the end of the season, we do it again as a sharpening workout before the final big meets of the year and as one gauge for improvement. Below are the results. Some really impressive results for under 7 weeks of work! Isabella took more than 2 minutes off with 3 other girls taking more than a minute off. We are celebrating Doris as she is .5 seconds away from tying the school record! On the boys side, Zac and Amaan were the biggest improvers, percentage-wise, 9%.
