Village Vikings Spring Football 2019
By Dana Magana (10)
With next August's football season approaching, the team has begun training in their spring season. After their successful interest meeting, where players went around campus promoting their program, the team welcomed 8 new players onto the team. While the team does not play any official games until the fall season, coaches dedicate the spring season to preparing their players and polishing their plays. With the offensive coordinator role change to Brandon Ledgister, Head Football Coach, Kevon Bagot, can focus on the unit as a whole. While this will be an adjustment for the team, it will help the program to develop and grow accordingly. For next year, the team hopes to qualify for playoffs and win a TAPPS D5 State Championship. May 3rd the team will be hosting a 7 on 7 end-of-spring game and barbecue. With this hardworking, and young team, Coach KB hopes to shape these athletes into the best players they can be, and to have their best season yet.
